The Book Fair is Almost Here!
-It will run Monday, March 28-Friday, April 1
-The hours will be: Monday 8:30-9:30
Tuesday 8:30-9:30
Wednesday 8:00-9:30, and 12:10-2:00
Thursday 8:00-9:30
Friday 8:30-9:30
-This Thursday or Friday your child will bring home a wish list of some of their personal favorite books from the fair, along with a flier that includes a few of the available books.
-On Monday and Tuesday we will have coffee and muffins available while you shop for your child's books.
-We will post each teacher's classroom wish list on a bulletin board. If you would like to donate a book to your child's class, just check the board for suggestions.
-We can accept credit cards, checks or cash as payment.
-PRP will earn extra books for our school library based on the amount of books that are purchased during the fair.
-The One for Books loose change campaign will also help provide books for our school as well as for a charity. Scholastic generously matches those donations dollar for dollar.
-One of the reasons to have a Book Fair is to focus on the fun and value of reading, and to encourage more reading at home.
So, here our goals for this first year:
1. Earn 50 new books for our library
2. Donate 20 new books to a charity
3. Have every family read 10 books to/with their PRP student during the next week
If we meet these goals we will have a popcorn and lemonade party on the playground, and the PRP students can wrap Ms. Kitty in toilet paper!
